Geography

Ceara

Ceará is located in the northeast region, with the Atlantic Ocean to the north and northeast, Rio Grande do Norte and Paraíba to the east, Pernambuco to the south and Piauí to the west.

It is a state that has great tourist potential, serving the most diverse types of tourism, such as cultural, religious, rural, adventure and ecotourism. In addition, the economy of Ceará stands out for cattle raising (cattle, pigs, goats, horses, poultry, donkeys, shrimp farming and sheep).

In agriculture, we highlight the cultivation of beans, corn, rice, cotton, cashews, sugar cane, cassava, castor beans, tomatoes, bananas, oranges, among others.

In Ceará is located the Industrial District of Maracanaú, in the Metropolitan Region of Fortaleza, which is an important industrial complex of the state. The industry in Ceará operates in the areas of clothing, food, metallurgical, textile, chemical and footwear.

Another strong point of the economy is mining (oil, natural gas, iron, mineral water, limestone, clay, magnesium, granite, etc.), and in Santa Quiteria there is the largest uranium reserve in Brazil.
